Remembering the God Who Never Forgets Us

Happy Monday and God’s Blessings,

Remembering the God Who Never Forgets Us

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.” — Psalm 103:2

This is a passionate reminder that gratitude is a spiritual weapon. King David speaks directly to his soul, commanding himself to remember the goodness, mercy, and faithfulness of God. Why? Because life has a way of making people remember pain more than promises, battles more than blessings, and disappointments more than deliverance.

But David declares: “Forget not all His benefits.”

Beloved, there are seasons when the enemy wants you to focus on what is missing, delayed, or broken. Yet Psalm 103 shifts our attention back to the God who has been faithful through every season. The same God who forgives sins, heals diseases, redeems lives from destruction, and crowns His children with lovingkindness is still at work today.

God has done too much for us to remain silent.

When David says, “Bless the Lord, O my soul,” he is teaching us that praise is not always based on feelings. Sometimes praise is a decision. Sometimes worship is warfare. Sometimes you must encourage yourself before the breakthrough arrives.

Psalm 103 reveals the heart of a compassionate Father. The Bible says that as a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him. God knows your struggles. He understands your tears, your silent prayers, and the battles nobody else sees. Yet His mercy continues to sustain you.

Even when people forget you, God never forgets you.

The psalm also reminds us that human strength is temporary, but God’s mercy is everlasting. Seasons change. Challenges come and go. But the faithfulness of God remains constant from generation to generation.

Therefore, do not allow fear, frustration, or uncertainty to steal your praise. Remember the prayers God answered. Remember the doors He opened. Remember the dangers He protected you from. Remember the grace that carried you when you thought you would not survive.

If you are still standing today, it is because the mercy of God has preserved you.

So let everything within you bless the name of the Lord. Praise Him in the waiting. Praise Him in the process. Praise Him for what He has done and for what He is still about to do.

For the God who has carried you this far will not fail you now. Amen.

You are Blessed! You are a Winner! Enjoy the Week!
