Happy New Year, Happy Monday, and God’s Blessings.
ONE THING I ASK OF THE LORD

“One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in His temple.”
Psalm 27:4
As this new year begins, we are invited to anchor our hearts in one holy pursuit. David’s prayer was not crowded with many requests. He asked for one thing and pursued it with intention: to dwell in the house of the Lord, to behold His beauty, and to meditate in His temple.
Many enter a new year with countless desires and resolutions, yet see little fruit. David chose focus over fragmentation. In a year filled with opportunity, pressure, ambition, and uncertainty, God is calling us to simplify our desire. When the heart is divided, strength is diluted. When desire is unified, direction becomes clear.
To dwell in the house of the Lord is more than being present in a physical place. It is living with continual awareness of His presence. It is choosing intimacy over noise, alignment over anxiety, and obedience over impulse. When you dwell, you are remaining with God, and those who remain renew their strength in the LORD.
To behold the beauty of the Lord is to allow His character to reshape your vision. This beauty is not surface appeal, but the splendor of His faithfulness, wisdom, mercy, and truth. When you behold Him, lesser things lose their grip. Fear weakens. Distractions fade. Perspective is restored.
To meditate in His temple is to live with a teachable spirit. It means you do not run ahead of God, but ask Him how to walk, when to move, and why to wait. Meditation guards you from costly detours. It orders your steps and keeps your spirit sensitive to His leading.
We pray that God’s presence will shape your days in 2026, that your decisions will be guided by reverence, and that your strength will be renewed through stillness. Blessing rests on the one who chooses God as their first desire. May this one thing become your sustaining power.
As you seek God first, may clarity follow, peace abide, and courage rise, so that every assignment entrusted to you is fulfilled with grace and lasting fruit for His glory.
You are Blessed! You are a Winner! Enjoy the Week Ahead!
