Happy Monday and God’s Blessings,

The Perez Anointing: PUSH

“Now it came to pass, at the time for giving birth, that behold, twins were in her womb. This one came out first. Then it happened, as he drew back his hand, that his brother came out unexpectedly; and she said, ‘How did you break through?’ Therefore, his name was called Perez.”Genesis 38:27–30

As we enter the final week of January 2026, the Spirit of God is reminding us to pray until something happens (PUSH). What may have felt slow, heavy, or contested this month was not designed to stop you. It was meant to strengthen you and prepare you for what lies ahead.

The story of Perez unfolds in a moment of tension. During childbirth, the scarlet thread marked his brother as first. By every outward sign, the outcome appeared settled. Yet, in a moment that surprised everyone, Perez pushed forward and broke through. His name means 'breakthrough,' a breach or an opening created where none was expected.

This account reminds us that God is not bound by human order, timing, or visible indicators. What others declare finished, God can still rearrange. What appears delayed may actually be divinely repositioned.

Scripture declares in Micah 2:13 that the One who breaks open goes before His people. Breakthrough does not begin with human effort alone. It begins with God moving ahead, opening what once appeared sealed. If you have felt pressure in this season, it may not be to crush you, but to create an opening for what God has already ordained.

Our Good Lord can restore the years that were eaten away. As January comes to a close, God reminds you that nothing has truly been lost. What seemed wasted is being redeemed.

What appeared delayed is being restored with purpose.

Perez did not emerge without struggle. There was resistance before release. There was pushing before positioning. Yet his outcome was far greater than his beginning. Perez became part of the lineage through which God established kings and fulfilled His redemptive plan. What God births through pressure often carries generational significance.

We are reminded in Romans 8:37 that in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Not after the struggle, but in the midst of it. Not when everything feels resolved, but while we are still pushing forward in faith.

Today, release every voice of discouragement. Push past fear. Push past labels. Push past anything that tries to define your January. Like Perez, you are not arriving by accident. You are breaking through by divine appointment.

You are Blessed! You are a Winner! Enjoy the week!
