Happy Monday and God’s Blessings,
“KEEP THE FIRE BURNING”

“A fire shall always be burning on the altar; it shall never go out.”Leviticus 6:13 NKJV
A fire shall always be burning
Fire represents spiritual life, passion, and the manifest presence of God. Our walk with Christ was never meant to be occasional or seasonal. It is a living relationship that must remain active and engaged. Scripture reminds us that this fire did not begin with human effort, for “fire came out from before the Lord and consumed the burnt offering” Leviticus 9:24. What God ignites, He expects us to steward.
On the altar
Under the New Covenant, the altar is no longer external. We are the altar. Our hearts are the place where worship is offered and where obedience is proven. Paul confirms this truth when he writes, “Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service” Romans 12:1.
Always
God emphasized consistency. The fire was to burn day and night, without interruption. Therefore, our devotion must be continual and not limited to moments of convenience. Faithfulness in private matters is as vital as faithfulness in public places. Jesus echoed this call to constancy when He said, “Men always ought to pray and not lose heart” Luke 18:1.
Burning
Fire that burns produces light and heat. A vibrant Christian life influences behavior, shapes decisions, and impacts others. It is not passive or hidden. Jesus said, “You are the light of the world” Matthew 5:14. A burning fire changes its environment.
It shall never go out
This instruction carries both a warning and responsibility. Spiritual fire rarely goes out suddenly. It fades through neglect, distraction, and quiet compromise. That is why the Apostle Paul cautioned believers, “Do not quench the Spirit” 1 Thessalonians 5:19.
God also instructed the priests to remove ashes from the altar. Ashes were evidence of a previous fire, but could not sustain a new one. Holding on to past encounters while neglecting present obedience interrupts spiritual vitality. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us” 1 John 1:9, making room for fresh fire.
God still sends the fire, but He calls us to keep it burning through prayer, the Word, repentance, and obedience.
Having started the year with prayer and fasting, be ready to receive your miracles. Heaven supplies the fire, and faithful hearts keep it burning.
You are Blessed! You are a Winner! Enjoy the Week!
